Matthew Roth holds a Ph.D. in History from Rutgers University. He has contributed to The Baffler, In These Times, The Encyclopedia of Urban Studies, the Chicago Reader, Organization and Environment, and Invisible Culture. He is the author of Magic Bean: The Rise of Soy in America (University Press of Kansas, 2018).
