Nicole Adrian is a fifth-year doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania whose research focuses on twentieth-century U.S. political economy, agriculture, and the rural environment. Prior to Penn, she studied history, environmental studies, conservation biology, and public policy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and later worked as a public sector consultant for the U.S. federal government.
