Abstract

This paper develops a theory of journalism ethics based on Levinasian philosophy and focuses on the interruption of the flow of information rather than its successful (and objective) transfer. The theory purported here posits news media as key actors in establishing a space in which a truly diverse multiplicity of voices speak and challenge one another.
